Founder's Message

Editor's note: The following letter was composed in the early design stages of nummist.com. At that time, Dr. L. S. River, NummNumm, was enjoying improved health and great expectations. Thus, the message reflects His indestructible spirit and indominable wits, as they were then in life and as they continue to guide us forever.

Mellow. By Joseph Howse. Portraying Dr. L. S. River, NummNumm. February 19, 2005.

Dearly beloved stakeholders,

The first half-decade of the new millennium has presented unprecedented challenges to global players, yet I am pleased to say that I have risen to every occasion.

First, let me mention our magnificent New Headquarters, an architectural chef d'oeuvre designed to encapsulate Nummist Media's sympathies for the many affected by the continuing situation in the Caribbean. Renovations were complete and resplendent well ahead of the 10-year time frame set by the steering committee.

Second, I hope to put to rest your concerns about my own state of health. After the restructuring of my in-house medical team, I am much more empowered in the process, as I should be. And while partaking of my great Nummist Homelands' sweet air, grass and waters in Lawnchair Therapy of first quarter 2005, I have drafted Nummist Media's strategic objectives for the current five-year period.

This strategy is fourfold: to expand Nummist Media's profile in TASK: (1) Technocracy; (2) Art; (3) Superstructures; and (4) Real Politick. Our TASK-force will coalesce the willing into an unstoppable mountain of progress. Moreover, the achievement of TASK will represent the most significant stride in HPI (Higgledy-Piggledy Imperialism) since primates landed on the Moon.

I look forward immensely to guiding and directing you in the marvelous years to come.

Cheers and Numm bless you,

Dr. L. S. River, NummNumm
