Moderator
Joseph Howse (MA International Development Studies, MBA International Business, BA French) is an instructor in Dalhousie University's School of Business Admnistration. His research interests include microfinance, Central Asia, privatization, democratization, crime prevention, and media. His work has appeared in publications in Canada, the United States, and India. He serves on the Local Host Committee for the Global Microcredit Summit 2006.
Speakers
Alexa Holm will graduate from Dalhousie University in August 2007 with the degree of Master of Development Economics. Her research interests include microfinance, agriculture, and health.
Heather Martin has graduated from Dalhousie University in September 2006 with the degree of Master of Development Economics. Her research interests include microfinance, fair trade, and social entrepreneurship.
Michael McRae will graduate from Dalhousie University in August 2007 with the degrees of Master of Business Admnistration, and Master of Development Economics. His research interests include microfinance, emerging markets, and energy & environmental services.
Tara Wharin will graduate from Dalhousie University in April 2007 with the degree of Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in International Development Studies. Her research interests include microfinance, women's empowerment, and gender relations.
